National strong Vovinam Clubs 2016 tour opens in An Giang
(VNF) - On April 18th, the national strong Vovinam Clubs 2016 tour – Vinatex Cup kicked off at Children Place in An Giang province.
The event, co-organized by the Vietnam Vovinam Federation and An Giang provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, has created a good forum for promoting exchanges between delegations, improving professional skills, and evaluating the quality of training from localities.
Around 377 athletes (137 female and 240 male) from 29 province/city/sector will compete in 44 medal categories for 22 combat events (12 for men’s, and 10 for women’s), and for 22 performing events. The host An Giang delegation has 19 players, competing in six performing and 13 combat events.
The 7th national tour is also a good opportunity to promote the image and spirit of Vovinam, thus encouraging all people to practice this martial art and combat sport.
It is planned to wrap up on April 24th./.
