No evidence of quick Covid-19 community transmission
The recent Covid-19 pandemic started in Da Nang in July but there is insufficient evidence that the virus is quickly spreading among the community in Vietnam. This was discussed during the meeting of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on August 4th chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
At the meeting of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on August 4, it was discussed that there has been no evidence of quick spreading of Covid-19 among the Vietnamese community. However, there is human to human transmission risk of the disease.
In this context, the Ministry of Health has mobilized human resources to Covid-19 hotspots especially Da Nang. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam affirmed that the fight against Covid-19 will be long until a vaccine is found.
