Over 1,000 young people clean up coastal environment
Over 1,000 members of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on May 10th joined a program to clean up the coastal environment along beaches in Gio Linh, Vinh Linh, Trieu Phong and Hai Lang districts in the central province of Quang Tri. Under the program, waste was collected and destroyed.
All kinds of waste was collected to be brought to concentrated dumping points.
The program aimed to promote environmental protection and maintain a healthy living environment.
The young members of the Quang Tri provincial border guard responded to the program.
Protective clothing was provided for the volunteers.
Restaurants alongside the beaches were also cleaned up.
Under the program, 1,000 poor fishermen were provided presents worth VND500 million.
The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union commits to maintain the regular operation of voluntary teams protecting the sea environment.
