|
According to the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the performances will be held as part of a broad range of activities within the framework of the International Circus Festival slated for October 15 to October 20 in Hanoi.
Aside from Vietnamese performers, the Hanoi International Circus Festival 2019 is expected to see art troupes take part from eight countries including Australia, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Egypt, Hungary, Laos, and Singapore.
The teams will compete in a variety of different genres, including acrobatics, juggling, balancing, magic, and comedy, with each performance lasting for between seven and 12 minutes.
A representative from the organisers noted that the event will provide a platform for domestic artists to introduce the achievements of Vietnam’s circus to an international audience.
The festival is jointly organised by the Department of Performing Arts, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, and the Vietnam Circus Federation, with the aim of promoting co-operation in culture and arts between Vietnam and other countries worldwide./.
