The event was jointly held by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, the PCC’s Theoretical Council and the Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House.

The launch ceremony was directed by Politburo member and Permanent member of the PCC’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, while chaired by Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang; Secretary of the PCC and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia; and Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House Pham Minh Tuan.

The book selects 29 articles and speeches by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, since the preparation of the documents of the 13th National Party Congress. The general content of those articles and speeches, is a dialectical analysis and thorough explanation for big questions about socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam, from the Party leader.

The articles help clarify the essence and core values of socialism, throughout the spheres of politics, economics, the building of the Party and the political system, socio-culture, defence and security, with simple expressions which are easy to understand for all classes of people.

The book aims to serve theoretical studies, and raise the public awareness of socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam, among officials, Party members and people, thus creating a consensus in thinking for the entire society.

In addition to the printed version, the Truth National Political Publishing House, introduced an electronic version of this book on Stbook.vn and Thuviencoso.vn.

Also at the ceremony, the Organising Committee presented a clip, introducing the book's social spill over effects, as well as information on publishing and the distribution of the book.
