- Since the establishment and commencement of operations of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations, how do you assess the most outstanding achievements in leadership and the organization of political task implementation?

The establishment of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations is an important policy decision, reflecting the Central Committee’s renewed thinking on organizational structure and the Party’s leadership methods in the new period. From the outset of its operations, the Party Committee quickly stabilized its organizational structure, developed working regulations, and adopted leadership methods suited to the specific characteristics of a political-social alliance and coalition; it has gradually affirmed its role as the political leadership nucleus for the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, and mass associations entrusted by the Party and the State.

A notable highlight is that the Party Committee has led and directed its subordinate Party organizations to closely adhere to political tasks and firmly maintain the “political-ideological axis” amid large-scale and wide-ranging organizational restructuring involving many new elements. Propaganda and mass mobilization work has been carried out proactively and systematically; the study, concretization, and implementation of the Central Committee’s resolutions and conclusions have been conducted seriously and in a timely manner, fostering a high degree of unity in awareness and action throughout the entire Party Committee.

In particular, during a period of major organizational change and transformation of operating mechanisms, the Party Committee has maintained political and ideological stability, ensuring that the activities of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, and mass associations proceed smoothly, “without interruption” and “without creating gaps” in leadership, direction, and the organization of political task implementation. The successful organization of the First Congress of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations for the 2025-2030 term demonstrates that this new Party Committee model has not only quickly become orderly but has also gradually operated in a substantive manner, clearly bringing into play its role of comprehensive leadership across the entire system.

- How have these achievements been recognized by member organizations of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and, more broadly, by public opinion?

The initial results of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations have received consensus and positive assessments from member organizations. Many have noted that the formation of a unified Party Committee at the central level has contributed to ensuring consistent leadership, reducing overlap in direction, enhancing coordination, and creating favorable conditions for member organizations to promote their proactiveness in carrying out assigned tasks.

From the perspective of public opinion, the role of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, and mass associations has become increasingly evident as a bridge connecting the Party and the State with the People. Representative voices that reflect the thoughts and aspirations of various social strata are conveyed in a timely and responsible manner; many major movements and campaigns have been recognized by society for their practicality, strong grassroots orientation, and close linkage to concrete livelihood-related issues.

Through these efforts, social trust in the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, and mass associations continues to be strengthened, making an important contribution to reinforcing the great national unity bloc as the country enters a new stage of development.

The First Congress of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, 2025-2030 Term, held on September 22-23 in Hanoi.

- Many opinions highly appreciate the leadership and direction, as well as the close, flexible, and effective coordination between the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations and its subordinate Party organizations. In your view, what are the key factors that have created this overall positive picture?

In my view, the results and the overall positive picture in leadership, direction, and coordination between the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations and its subordinate Party organizations stem from several fundamental and core factors.

First and foremost is the close, resolute, and timely leadership and direction of the Central Committee, directly the Politburo and the Secretariat, in the establishment and operation of the new model, namely the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations. The clear and consistent orientations set by the Central Committee have provided a solid political foundation, enabling the Party Committee to proactively implement its tasks amid major changes in organizational structure and operational methods.

Second, the Party Committee has correctly identified its guiding principles and leadership approach: ensuring the Party’s principles and discipline while promoting the proactiveness, creativity, and distinctive characteristics of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, and mass associations. Leadership and direction have been carried out in a close, substantive manner, focusing on key and focal issues, avoiding formality and dispersion.

Third, close, flexible, and effective coordination has been built on the basis of leadership and management regulations and procedures that were established early and implemented rigorously. Regular briefings, information-sharing, and reporting mechanisms have been maintained in an orderly manner; many difficult and new tasks have been discussed and addressed promptly from the outset, preventing delays or the emergence of bottlenecks during implementation.

Finally, the human factor plays a decisive role. The contingent of cadres and Party members throughout the Party Committee, especially key officials, possesses firm political resolve and a strong sense of responsibility, and is willing to renew thinking and working methods while coordinating closely for the common goal. This is the essential foundation ensuring that leadership and direction continue to deepen and become more resolute and effective.

The Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations clearly identifies key tasks in line with the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the practical requirements of Fatherland Front, mass organization, and mass association work in the new era of development.

- At present, the entire country is focusing on implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress. Could you outline the key areas and priority tasks that the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations will focus on in the coming period?

In the time ahead, together with the entire Party, People, and Army in implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations has clearly identified key tasks aligned with the Party’s Resolution and the practical requirements of Fatherland Front, mass organization, and mass association work in the new era of development.

The foremost priority is to lead the thorough dissemination and effective implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, particularly the contents on promoting the strength of great national unity, practicing socialist democracy, and building and consolidating the “people-centered posture.” At the same time, the Party Committee will continue to strongly renew the content and methods of operation of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and mass associations in a more substantive manner - closer to the people, grounded among the people, and strongly oriented toward the grassroots level.

Alongside this, the Party Committee will focus on improving the quality of supervision and social criticism, as well as participation in Party building and State building, with particular attention to protecting the lawful and legitimate rights and interests of the People. A cross-cutting task is to continue building a streamlined organizational apparatus that operates effectively and efficiently, while accelerating digital transformation across the Fatherland Front system, mass organizations, and mass associations to meet task requirements in the new context.

- What are your expectations regarding the overall contribution of the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations in the nation’s current era of advancement?

In the era of national rise, I expect the Party Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations to continue affirming its role as a central force for gathering and promoting the strength of the People and the great national unity bloc, truly becoming a firm political-social pillar of the political system.

My greatest expectation is that the Fatherland Front system, mass organizations, and mass associations will shift strongly from the mindset of “unity to overcome difficulties” to “unity to create development,” thereby inspiring the aspiration to contribute, a sense of social responsibility, the spirit of self-reliance and resilience, and the creative capacity of every citizen and every community.

Through this, they will contribute to consolidating social trust, strengthening consensus, and building a firm “people-centered posture” - the most important foundation for the country to achieve rapid and sustainable development and to realize the aspiration of building a prosperous and happy Viet Nam in the decades ahead.
