On the afternoon of December 20, 2024, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations hosted an Information Sharing and a Ceremony to Recognize the Contributions of Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in 2024. This annual event aims to share and discuss the year's activities with NGOs and honor those with outstanding contributions.

A delegation of the Vietnam - Poland Friendship Association paid a visit to the Polish Embassy in Hanoi on the occasion of Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025.

On December 16, 2024, a delegation of 24 volunteers from the Hanoi Branch of the Missionary Training Center (MTC), The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS - Mormon), and 5 staff members from the Asia Area Office of LDS Charities (LDSC) in Hong Kong (China), led by Rob Howell, Head of the Hanoi Branch, visited and worked with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO).

Over the past two years, the project "My Right to Education - Phase 2" by ChildFund Vietnam has brought positive changes not only to Hao but also to 232 other children with disabilities in Quang Haa district, Cao Bang province.

After nearly three years of implementation, the project “Prevention of Physical and Mental Violence and Discrimination Against Children, including Children with Disabilities (AVAC)” has achieved many significant outcomes, including the initiatives leading by children which promote the meaningful participation of children in community activities. The project includes three key components implemented by the Research Center for Management and Sustainable Development (MSD), the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights (VACR), and the Institute for Community Development (ACDC). It is funded by Save the Children Hong Kong and coordinated by Save the Children Vietnam.

"Over the past 35 years in Vietnam, Save the Children Vietnam (SC) has continuously evolved and developed, making a positive contribution to the country's sustainable development. Through innovative interventions and approaches, along with sustainable cooperation and support from partner agencies, SC has supported millions of children each year," said Le Thi Thanh Huong, Country Director of SC, in an interview with the VietnamTimes Magazine, reflecting on SC's achievements in its 35-year journey in Vietnam.

Recognizing the current situation, the Communist Party of Vietnam has set out the following key goals and tasks: continue to prioritize the dual strategic objectives of building socialism and defending the Fatherland; strengthen the Party and political system to ensure transparency and robustness in all aspects; enhance the strength of culture, people, and the great national unity bloc combined with contemporary strengths; foster innovation, creativity, and rapid, sustainable development; and aim to become a developing country with upper middle income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045.

In his closing remark at the 10th plenum of the Communist Party of Vietnam's Central Committee in the 13th term, General Secretary To Lam said that with the position and strength gained after 40 years of Doi Moi (Renovation), with the consensus and joint efforts of the Party, people, and army, with new opportunities and advantages, under the leadership of the Party, Vietnam has all the necessary conditions to enter a new era, an era of nation's rise.

November 17, 1950, has gone down in history as an important milestone, linking the Vietnamese revolution with the progressive movement of the world's people and was later officially recognized as the Traditional Day of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the core force in people's foreign affairs.
