Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; members of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology; Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs; Do Tien Sy, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam; and representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, and sectors, and Hanoi authorites.

According to the release ceremony, the stamp set includes 01 stamp and 01 block. The stamp solemnly and sentimentally depicts President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, in a modern graphic art style. His gentle expression and radiant eyes reflect his unwavering faith and aspiration for national independence and freedom. Rendered in simple yet refined lines, the design incorporates the red and yellow colors of the national flag, honoring the great leader, an immortal symbol of patriotism, self-reliance, and the desire for peace of the Vietnamese people.

The accompanying block showcases the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam alongside a map of the homeland, emphasizing the sacred and complete sovereignty over the nation's seas and islands. Its background features the image of a bronze drum, a symbol of Vietnam’s millennia-old civilization, reminding us of the historical roots and depth of national culture.

Measuring 32x43mm for the stamp and 80x100mm for the block, the set is priced at VND 4,000 and VND 19,000, respectively. Designed by artist Nguyen Du (Vietnam Post Corporation), the stamp set will be available nationwide at central, provincial, municipal, and transaction post offices from August 26, 2025, to June 30, 2027.

According to the Organizing Committee, the stamp set not only commemorates an important historical milestone - the day President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, but also affirms the sovereignty, freedom, independence, solidarity, indomitable will, and pride of the Vietnamese people over the past 80 years. It serves as a tribute to the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, revolutionary predecessors, and the millions of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed for the independence, unity, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland. At the same time, the stamp set conveys a powerful message: after 80 years of construction and development, the Vietnamese people are increasingly prosperous and happy. The country continues to innovate and integrate deeply, confidently stepping into a new era - an era of sustainable development and prosperity.

Also on this occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired the opening of the Press Center for the 80th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

According to Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, the Press Center serves as the hub for organizing, directing, and guiding press activities related to the Celebration, accommodating nearly 1,500 domestic and international reporters, editors, and media personnel. It is also the venue for providing official information about the Celebration, supporting journalists in their work, and handling press-related requests. The press and media efforts, he emphasized, will play a vital role in contributing to the overall success of the Independence Day Celebration on September 2.

“We will create all favorable conditions for domestic and international reporters to cover the Celebration, while proactively and actively providing information from the Organizing Committee,” said Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh. “This will contribute to the successful organization of the event in line with its objectives, while ensuring safety and security throughout the Celebration.”

He also called on all reporters and editors, both domestic and foreign, to report promptly and accurately, and to strictly adhere to operational regulations to help ensure the success of this important national occasion.

Accompanying these meaningful activities, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) proudly serves as a program supporter. By doing so, VietinBank continues to affirm its commitment to social responsibility, promote cultural values and national spirit, and join hands in honoring the journey of 80 years of independence, freedom, and happiness.
