The two-day training focused on practical skills, from developing ideas and key messages to planning activities, assigning tasks and managing unexpected situations. Students also learned from young people who had previously participated in SHIFT. Each group then tested its own communications initiative through a trial run, helping students identify gaps and improve their plans before implementing them at school. “During the trial run, our group realized that even though we thought we had planned everything, unexpected issues still came up when we actually put the plan into practice. I found this part very useful,” one student said. The training was part of a project funded by Hyundai Engineering and implemented by Save the Children in collaboration with Hong Duc University, supporting young people's participation in climate change communications and action.
