Vietnamese Ambassador Mai Phan Dung, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, the WTO, and other international organizations in Geneva, recently delivered a speech, urging the international community to enhance cooperation to effectively deal with climate change impacts on people’s livelihoods, while attending the UN Human Rights Council's 56th session.

Over 60 countries have signed the Global Cooling Pledge, announced today by the UAE as host of COP28 and the Cool Coalition. The pledge targets substantially reducing global cooling emissions by 68 percent by 2050.
