On January 13th, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation organized a seminar on the major global and regional situation in 2025 and trends for 2026.

At the invitation of the President of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament, President of the Vietnam Peace Committee Uong Chu Luu, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, attended the Peace Conference commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people against Japanese aggression and the world anti-fascist war, which took place from September 24 to 29, 2025, in Beijing and Yunnan, China.

From August 2-6, 2025, representatives of the Vietnam Peace Committee (a member organization of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations) participated in the 2025 World Conference against A and H Bombs held in Hiroshima, Japan. At the event, Vietnam once again affirmed its stance in support of nuclear disarmament, advocating for a peaceful, just, and war-free world.

Since becoming an official member of the United Nations in 1977, Vietnam has progressively asserted the proactive role in international cooperation and in addressing global challenges. This journey began early, reflecting Vietnam's aspirations for peace and independence since the country declared its independence in 1945, in line with the core principles of the United Nations (UN).
