Strengthening National Coordination Mechanism for Persons with Disabilities

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has recently signed Decision No. 1059/QD-TTg consolidating the National Committee on Persons with Disabilities of Vietnam (the Committee). The restructuring of this inter-sectoral coordinating body is expected to enhance the effectiveness of policy consultation, coordination, and implementation of programs supporting persons with disabilities, thereby safeguarding their rights and promoting social inclusion for more than seven million persons with disabilities nationwide.
