On July 15 in Hanoi, the Vietnam-Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association held its third congress for the 2025-2030 term. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep was elected President of the Association for the new term.

During the 2016-2025 period, the Vietnam-Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association (Association) has promoted its role as a bridge connecting people through practical initiatives, from completing the Portuguese-Vietnamese Thematic Dictionary to promoting business cooperation, cultural exchange, and supporting State diplomacy. These efforts have contributed to deepening Vietnam-Brazil relations in multiple aspects.

Those in need can use the Portuguese - Vietnamese Dictionary as a pocket textbook, look up vocabulary like a regular dictionary and refer to conversations according to each topic.

“When Vietnam and Brazil establish their diplomatic relations in 1989, the two countries' trade turnover was only USD 16 million. In 2021, it increased to USD 6.35 billion, an increase of nearly 400 times. Brazil has become Vietnam's largest trading partner in South America, and Vietnam is Brazil's largest trading partner in Southeast Asia. In addition to trade, the two countries can also strengthen cooperation in many other fields such as agriculture, forestry, culture, sports, and tourism,” said Nguyen Van Kien, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association, former Ambassador of Vietnam to Brazil.

On the morning of December 28, in Hanoi, the Vietnam – Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association (VBFCA) held the launching ceremony of the Club of Vietnamese who used to live, study in Brazil.
