Irish Minister’s Vietnam Visit Highlights Expanding Cooperation in Culture, Education and Development

Ireland’s Minister of State at the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport Charlie McConalogue TD visited Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from 18 – 21 March in celebration of 30 years of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Vietnam. The visit also celebrates Ireland’s national day, St. Patrick’s Day.

On March 19 in Hanoi, the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam hosted a reception to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day and mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Ireland (April 5, 1996- April 5, 2026).
