Thousands of tourists flock to Dong Van during national holiday
Thousands of tourists flocked to the Dong Van Karst Plateau in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang during the National Day holiday from September 2nd to 4th.

Tourist attractions in the province received numerous delegations of domestic tourists from nationwide and foreign tourists in the first days of the holiday, said Ms. Trieu Thi Tinh, Deputy Director of the Ha Giang provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Tourism, cultural and historical attractions and eco-tourism destinations which attracted numerous tourists were Lung Cu flag tower, Dong Van old quarter, the Palace of Vuong Dynasty tourist area (Dong Van district), Co Tien Mountain (Quan Ba district), Ma Pi Leng Peak (Meo Vac district), terraced fields (Hoang Su Phi) and Tien Falls and Gio Mountain pass (Xi Man district).
Dong Van karst plateau covers 2,356 square kilometers and spreads over four districts of Ha Giang: Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Meo Vac and Dong Van, at an average altitude of 1,000 - 1,600 meters with a number of beautiful limestone formations and winding roads.
It is the only global Geopark in Vietnam, and the second one of Southeast Asia, officially recognized by UNESCO.
The mountainous province greeted over 486,000 tourists from the start of the year, grossing a turnover of nearly VND350 billion./.
