Three Department Directors elected as Vice Heads of Hanoi People’s Committee

During the 15th session of the Hanoi city People’s Council on March 18th, 89/92 members of the Hanoi city People’s Council elected three new Vice Heads of the Hanoi city People’s Committee for the 2011 - 2016 term.

They are Mr Nguyen The Hung, member of the Hanoi city Party Committee and Director of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture (85 votes - 95.5% approval); Mr Ngo Van Quy, member of the Hanoi city Party Committee and Director of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment (74 votes - 83.14% approval); and Mr Nguyen Doan Toan, member of the Hanoi city Party Committee and Director of the Hanoi Department of Finance (81 votes - 91.01% approval).

Members of the Hanoi city People’s Council also voted to relieve from their positions the three previous Vice Heads of the Hanoi city People’s Committee, including Mr Vu Hong Khanh (newly-selected President of the Hanoi Fatherland Front Committee), Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tuan (newly-elected Vice Head of the Hanoi city People’s Council), and Mr Nguyen Xuan Viet (for his retirement).

Besides, Mr Nguyen Van Nam, Head of the Economics and Budget Department under the Hanoi city People’s Council, and Mr Le Van Hoat, Vice Head of the Hanoi city People’s Council, were also allowed to leave their positions for new position/retirement.

Now, leaders of the Hanoi city People’s Committee are Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung (49), and his six Vice Chairmen including Le Hong Son (52), Nguyen Van Suu (55), Nguyen Quoc Hung (55), Nguyen The Hung (49), Ngo Van Quy (53) and Nguyen Doan Toan (45).

While the leaders of the Hanoi city People’s Council are Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc (55) and Vice Head Nguyen Ngoc Tuan (50)./.
