"Planet Earth III," a documentary series that explores the greatest wonders of the Earth, is popular among nature lovers worldwide. The Emmy Awards, the symbol of peer recognition within various areas of television and emerging media, has announced its nominations for the year 2024. According to Variety, "Planet Earth III" received a total of 5 Emmy nominations.

Son Doong Among The 10 Best Caves In The World

In particular, Episode 6 Extreme in Planet Earth III, which features scenes filmed at Son Doong and Va caves, received two nominations at the 2024 Emmy Awards. The nominations include Outstanding Cinematography and Outstanding Music for a Documentary Series.

This episode was filmed over 3 weeks in early 2022, where viewers follow the crew to explore the incredible beauty of Son Doong Cave, En Cave, Va Cave and Nuoc Nut Cave. Cinematographer Luke Nelson told Variety that filming in the cave's lighting conditions was the biggest challenge for him and his colleagues. To create realistic and beautiful scenes, the crew used many specialized cameras and lenses. They also used advanced technology to capture unique angles and movements in the world's largest cave system.

The final results will be announced on September 15 on ABC television channel (US time).
