According to the report presented at the conference, the Viet Nam Peace and Development Council has gradually consolidated its organizational structure and carried out various activities in people-to-people diplomacy, research, policy consultation, and external communications amid increasingly complex and unpredictable regional and global developments.

In the field of people-to-people diplomacy, the Council participated in a number of important multilateral mechanisms and forums, including activities related to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the ASEAN Peoples’ Forum (APF), and the Asia-Europe Peoples’ Forum (AEPF). Through these activities, the Council contributed to providing information, countering distorted narratives, and protecting the image and interests of the nation and people.

Research and policy consultation activities continued to receive attention through a range of thematic seminars on global affairs, foreign policy, sustainable development, international law, and international integration in line with the spirit of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

In terms of information and communications, since the Congress, the Council’s website has recorded approximately 253,259 visits, with around 1,210 articles published, focusing on disseminating external information as well as promoting the values of peace, development, and Viet Nam’s achievements. In the coming period, the website will be upgraded in a more professional and modern direction while enhancing connectivity with partners.

The conference also discussed and provided feedback on the Action Program for the 2025-2030 term, the 2026 activity plan, and various operational regulations of the Council. Accordingly, in the final six months of 2026, the Council will focus on several key tasks, including organizing an international seminar on peace within the framework of the Peace Festival in Quang Tri, participating in multilateral people’s forums, expanding its international partner network, and further improving the quality of research and policy consultation work.

Speaking at the conference, President of the Viet Nam Peace and Development Council Ha Hung Cuong emphasized that in the coming period, the Council will continue to renew its content and methods of operation, enhance the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy, and promote the role of experts, intellectuals, and businesses in activities for peace and development, thereby contributing to serving national interests in the new context.
