Viet Nam, Philippines Upgrade Relations to Enhanced Strategic Partnership

Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. made the above statement during a press briefing in Manila on June 1 following his summit meeting with General Secretary and President To Lam.
On the ocasion, the two leaders witnessed the exchange of cooperation agreements between the two countries, namely:
- The Memorandum of Understanding on defense cooperation between the Ministry of National Defense of Viet Nam and the Department of National Defense of the Philippines;
- The Memorandum of Understanding on information technology and digital transformation cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Viet Nam and the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Philippines;
- The tourism cooperation program for the 2026-2029 period between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Viet Nam and the Department of Tourism of the Philippines;
- The Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy of Public Administration and Governance under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics of Viet Nam and the University of the Philippines./.
