In the condolence book, Phan Anh Son, on behalf of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, conveyed his deepest condolences to the Lao Embassy in Viet Nam and the family of President Xaysomphone Phomvihane. He also expressed his gratitude for the President's contributions to Viet Nam-Laos relations.

Phan Anh Son wrote: “On behalf of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Lao Embassy in Viet Nam and, through you, to the entire family of Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane, an outstanding leader of the Party, State, Revolution and people of Laos, a great friend and close comrade of the Party, State and people of Viet Nam.
The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, together with its member organizations at the central and local levels and the people-to-people friendship organizations of the two countries, will strive to foster and preserve the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Viet Nam and Laos, as a profound expression of gratitude for Comrade Xaysomphone Phomvihane’s great merits and significant contributions to Viet Nam-Laos relations.”
With the passing of Xaysomphone Phomvihane, the Party, State and people of Laos have lost a talented and exemplary leader, while the Party, State and people of Vietnam have lost a close, loyal and trusted friend and a comrade who always stood side by side with them. |
On August 10 in Hanoi, a delegation from the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, led by Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on Culture and Society, and President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, visited the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Vietnam to sign the condolence book in memory of Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane. |
