"Vietnam-Australia to sing the song of friendship"
The statement was made by the Sprouse of Australian Governor-General, Linda Hurley, in a visit to Viet Nam National Academy of Music (Hanoi) on April 4. She was accompanied by the Sprouse of Vietnamese State President, Phan Thi Thanh Tam.
In her remark, Linda Hurley expressed her strong belief in the strength of music, saying it brings about happiness to everyone and connects people together. She hopes Vietnam and Australia will continue to build close and cooperative relations, together singing the song of friendship.

The ladies attended several classes, met with Vietnamese alumni in Australia, and watched performances by outstanding artists and lecturers from the Academy.

Linda Hurley and her husband, Governor-General of Australia David Hurley, are on a state visit to Vietnam from April 3 to 6 at the invitation of Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong. The visit is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia.

She shows interest in art and music and believes that singing has a positive impact on individuals and communities. Linda Hurley was a member and first patron of "Solid Rock", a service for Catholic women in the military. She joined the choir of St Andrew's Church in Canberra and was a member of the Australian Army Ladies' Choir.

On April 3 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations convened a conference to disseminate the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress on people-to-people diplomacy to its central-level member organizations, clarifying new requirements for this work.
On April 2 in Hanoi, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to Vietnam Rajpal Singh. At the reception, President Phan Anh Son put forward four proposals to strengthen bilateral relations through people-to-people diplomacy, focusing on science and technology, finance, and modern governance.

On March 27 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation held a seminar titled “Rapid and sustainable national development in the new era in the spirit of the 14th National Party Congress: Key and emerging drivers and solutions for the next 5-10 years.” The event drew the participation of numerous experts and policymakers.
On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, on March 26 in Hanoi, the Youth Union of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations held the “Youth forum of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations on people-to-people diplomacy and international integration in the new era.” At the forum, youth union members exchanged views and proposed solutions to promote their vanguard role in international connectivity and in promoting Viet Nam’s image to the world.
