Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet emphasized that education and training have always been one of the most successful areas of cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria over the past several decades.
Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet said that many generations of Vietnamese students had studied in Bulgaria, including doctors, scientists, medical experts and administrators, who, after returning home, made significant contributions to the development of Vietnam's healthcare sector. At the same time, they have become bridges fostering friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
“The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Hanoi Medical University and the Medical University of Sofia will create favourable conditions for promoting exchanges of lecturers and students, research cooperation and the sharing of experience between the two universities, thereby contributing to strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria in education, science, technology and healthcare,” Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet stressed.
Under the agreement, the two universities will promote exchanges of lecturers and students, carry out joint research projects, jointly organize scientific conferences, share experience in curriculum innovation, and develop high-quality healthcare human resources.
