The idea of building a flagpole check-in point has been cherished by the unit since the early days when the new hospital took over the task from the previous team.
The process of ideation, design, material preparation, and site preparation was assigned by the Board of Directors to the women's group, youth union, and departments during the hospital's tenure.
On the morning of May 17 (local time), after the final stages were completed, the hospital solemnly held a ceremony to inaugurate the check-in point.
Attending the ceremony were Major General Emmanuel Rugazora, military commander of Unity Division, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Tinh, commanding officer of the Vietnamese peacekeeping force in South Sudan, the Board of Directors, and all staff of the 2.4 field hospital.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Emmanuel Rugazora congratulated the hospital on its successes during the past term. He gave many compliments to the flagpole check-in point. He also sent his best wishes to the staff of the Hospital as well as the entire Vietnamese people on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.
The flagpole check-in point is located at the entrance to the hospital's working area. The work was built to make a good impression on international guests as well as patients when coming to the hospital, showing national pride and contributing to beautifying the landscape in the hospital's premises.
