Vietnam Hosts 5 International Jazz Nights During Upcoming Holiday
At the press conference of the 1st International Jazz Program - Nha Trang 2024 on April 15, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee shared that the host city, Nha Trang, is a prominent tourist destination in Vietnam.
The program includes a series of musical activities bringing together many famous domestic and international jazz singers and bands. It promises to bring the richness, diversity, and appeal of Jazz music around the world, including Vietnam's jazz.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that many Vietnamese jazz artists are reaching the international level.
"Vietnamese jazz music has gradually developed with an increasingly strong artist force, Music lovers and international tourists also often go to jazz performance venues. The 1st International Jazz Program aims towards the public, to create opportunities for Vietnamese artists to exchange and learn from international artists. Also, the program is held in Nha Trang to support the development of culture and tourism in Khanh Hoa," said Dong.
Regarding the implementation of the event, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has assigned the Hanoi Opera House (Center for Organizing Performing Arts and Cultural Events) to preside, with the Department of Performing Arts and the Department of International Cooperation coordinating with the Department of Culture and Sports in Khanh Hoa. More than 100 Vietnamese and international artists will take the stage at this special event.
As revealed by Music Director Hoang Anh Minh, some prominent lineups include Chico Freeman (USA), Tran Manh Tuan's band, Big K trumpet orchestra, Vietnamese singers My Linh, Tung Duong, Phuong Vy, My Anh...
The program includes 5 nights of outdoor performances, from April 27 to May 1, at two locations in Nha Trang City: Square 2/4 (Tran Phu Street) and Youth Football Stadium (Vinh Nguyen ward). There is a different theme every night, which are “The Spotlight of Jazz”, “Living the Legend”, “The Latin Night”, “The Collection”, and “Jazz Flows”. A variety of genres such as classic, bossa nova and jazz funk will be performed.
The organizing committee aims to turn the International Jazz Program into an annual musical event, making Nha Trang a destination for tourism and music.
