Pham Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam “supports and is ready to make active contributions to international efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip,” based on respect for national sovereignty, the principles of international law, and the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the Palestinian people.

She emphasized: “We call on all parties concerned to comply with the agreement strictly and to create favorable conditions for achieving a two-state solution, moving toward a sustainable and lasting peace for the Palestinian issue.”

On October 9, Israel and Hamas signed the first-phase ceasefire agreement for the Gaza Strip after several rounds of negotiations in Egypt. The agreement took effect on October 10, under which Israeli forces withdrew behind the yellow line and maintained control over approximately 53 percent of Gaza’s territory, mostly outside urban areas.
