In his remarks, Nguyen Tuong Lam highlighted the close bond between Vietnam and China, two neighboring countries united by shared mountains, rivers, and deep cultural traditions. He emphasized the similarities in customs and heritage between their peoples and the pivotal role of the youth unions of both nations as a lasting bridge of friendship, connecting the youth and fostering goodwill between Vietnam and China. This year’s Meeting Program serves as a significant effort to translate the outcomes of the High-level Joint Statement into tangible actions, while raising awareness among the younger generations about the evolving Vietnam-China relationship.
As part of the Meeting Program, the youth of both countries exchanged stories celebrating the long-standing friendship between their Parties, States, and peoples. The young delegates shared experiences, explored the Youth Union and youth movement models in each nation, and discussed practical directions for future collaborative exchange activities.
Nguyen Tuong Lam expressed his hope that upon their return, the Chinese youth delegates would convey to their peers in China the heartfelt warmth and genuine friendship of the Vietnamese youth and people, along with a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s culture, people, and traditions.

Zeng Rui, representative of the Chinese youth delegation, shared that during the six-day program, the delegation experienced unforgettable moments in Vietnam’s capital city, Hanoi, as well as Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh—regions renowned for their rich identity and cultural traditions.
Beyond the main activities, the delegation visited schools, businesses, and residential areas, gaining firsthand insight into life in Vietnam. These visits left a lasting impression, as the delegation deeply felt the heartfelt warmth and genuine hospitality extended by the Vietnamese youth and people.
He shared that the most memorable and touching moment of the trip was hearing directly from General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary Xi Jinping, who conveyed their aspirations for the young generations of Vietnam and China. He added that throughout the journey, the delegation witnessed firsthand the vibrant growth of Vietnam’s economy and the dynamic spirit of its youth.
