Vietnamese professor awarded with Oder of the Sacred Treasure from Japanese Emperor
Professor Tran Van Tho, a member of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Group, and two other Vietnamese people have been bestowed with the Order of the Sacred Treasure from the Emperor of Japan.
In 2018, the Emperor of Japan has conferred the Order of Sacred Treasure on 140 foreign nationals. Three Vietnamese nationals were honoured with the prestigious order.
Professor Tran Van Tho
Professor Tran Van Tho, aged 69, has been awarded the Gold Rays with Rosette in recognition of his contributions to the development of economic ties between Japan and Vietnam, deepening the country’s understanding of Japan.
Two other Vietnamese people, Nguyen Huu Tai and Ngo Phuong Lan, were also honoured with Silver Rays. They are both staff of the Japanese embassy in Vietnam.
The Order of the Sacred Treasure was established in 1888 by the Emperor of Japan, it is awarded to honour foreign inpiduals who have worked in Japan for a long time and have made contributions to the political and socio-economic development of Japan and helped to develop ties between Japan and other nations./.
