Tran Trong Mung, former Tisco General Director; Tran Van Kham, former Chairman of the Board of Director and General Director of Tisco; and Ngo Sy Han, former Deputy General Director of Tisco and head of the Management Board of Tisco’s production expansion project in the second phase were also detained in service of the investigation.
The Investigation Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security said on April 20 that it is working on four cases showing signs of law violations in the second phase of the production expansion project of Tisco.
On April 18, the department issued decisions to start legal proceedings on a criminal case of “offences against regulations of law on investment in construction that lead to serious consequences,” and a case of “offences against regulations of law on management and use of State-owned property that lead to losses or wastefulness,” which happened during the implementation of the project.
On April 19, the Supreme People’s Procuracy approved the detainment of the five people.
Accordingly, Tinh and Hung were charged of “offences against regulations of law on investment in construction that lead to serious consequences” as stated in Article 224 of the 2015 Penal Code.
Meanwhile, Mung, Kham and Han were accused of both “offences against regulations of law on investment in construction that lead to serious consequences” and “offences against regulations of law on management and use of State-owned property that lead to losses or wastefulness” as stated in Article 219 of the 2015 Penal Code.
The cases are under further investigation, according to the department./.
