President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Phan Anh Son affirmed that VUFO is ready to act as a bridge and promote Vietnam - Venezuela cooperation during a reception for Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (Venezuela) to Vietnam Juan Carlos Fernandes Juarez on July 10 in Hanoi.

According to President Phan Anh Son, VUFO focuses on promoting Vietnam-Venezuela relations, especially in people-to-people exchanges. The VUFO President expressed his confidence in the potential for future cooperation between the two countries.
To effectively exploit the mutual relations potential, it is necessary to enhance the promotion of information about Venezuela's country, culture, and people to the Vietnamese people, noted him.
Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam Juan Carlos Fernandes Juarez affirmed that Vietnam is one of Venezuela's priorities in its external policy. Currently, Venezuela is witnessing positive economic developments. This is a favorable opportunity to develop the Vietnam-Venezuela relations further.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the role of VUFO in promoting bilateral relations through people-to-people channels and thanked the VUFO President for the practical proposals to promote and strengthen bilateral relations.
Both sides agreed to continue cooperating in upcoming activities, towards the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (December 18, 1989 – December 18, 2024), contributing to further realizing the potential for cooperation in bilateral relations.
