World Press Photo 2018 exhibition to be held in Hanoi
(VNF) - The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Vietnam in coordination with the World Press Photo Foundation will organise a World Press Photo Exhibition in Hanoi, a world-famous exhibition of the best and most memorable press photographs from around the globe, as one of the activities to celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations between two countries.
The exhibition, as part of a global tour of winning images with photography from the 61st annual World Press Photo contest, will be held at University of Fine Arts (42 Yet Kieu Str., Hoan Kiem Dist.) from June 14th to July 4th.
The winners were chosen by an independent jury that reviewed more than 73,000 photographs entered by 4,548 photographers from 125 countries.
The World Press Photo Foundation are a global platform connecting professionals and audiences through trustworthy visual journalism and storytelling, founded in 1955 when a group of Dutch photographers organised a contest (“World Press Photo”) to expose their work to an international audience. Since then the contest has grown into the world’s most prestigious photography competition, and through their successful worldwide exhibition program, they present to millions of people the stories that matter.
