American guy creates new look for Hanoi old quater
An American guy changed old mossy walls at Lane 50, Hang Bac street (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi) into vivid paintings.
His name is Scott Matt (23, from the United States), a bachelor of Business Administration (Drexel University) and currently a teacher of an English language center in Hanoi. He repainted the old walls in order to make a new look for the lane, so that passersby would enjoy it.
Scott said, after graduation, he intended to open his own company. However the idea instantly went failed because his companion giving up halfway. So, he decided to find some cheap countries for travelling and Vietnam was the choice.
The lane before being repainted is always dark and damp.
And now it looks really bright
Scott bought paint with his own money. After 1 weeks, he changed the dark, damp walls into colorful paintings.
He often painted at night, when everyone went to sleep.
The next morning, seeing the walls become more colorful, the people here show much interest and support for his work.
