At the ceremony, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said that Vietnam and Iran have actively carried out high-level delegation exchanges and meetings, thereby tightening political trust and opening up new opportunities for cooperation. Economic and trade relations between the two countries will grow positively in 2023.
The legal framework for cooperation between the two countries is increasingly being consolidated. Among them, the cooperation agreement between the National Standards Organization of Iran and Vietnam's Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality and the Memorandum of Understanding on animal quarantine between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the Ministry of Agriculture of Iran are important documents that have created conditions to promote agricultural and aquatic product exports between Vietnam and Iran, bringing Vietnamese goods that meet Halal standards into the Iranian market and Muslim countries in general.
