Bilateral trade between Vietnam and Poland rises 27.5%
(VNF) – Bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Poland in the first five months of 2015 hit more than USD311.6 million, a 27.5% rise against the same period last year, according to the latest statistics by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Of this, Vietnam’s exports to Poland were valued at USD243.3 million, up 27.8% while the country’s imports from the market increased 26.6% at USD68.3 million.

In the five months, Vietnam mainly exported industrial commodities to Poland, such as machinery, equipment and other devices, iron and steel products, computer, electronic products and spare parts and garments and textile.
Of this, the highest export turnover at USD37.6 million belonged to the machinery, equipment and other devices group, making up 15.5% of the total or up 52.4% over a year earlier.
It was followed by iron and steel products at USD19.69 million, a 0.8% reduction over a year earlier. Computer, electronic products and spare parts ranked the third at USD18.97 million, down 20.2%.
Rice exports to Poland saw gigantic growth in the five month when the country shipped over 1.63 million tonnes of rice to the market, valued at USD877,800, a year-on-year rise of 186%.
During the period, Vietnam imported commodities such as milk and dairy products, pharmaceutical products, machinery, equipment and other devices from Poland./.
