Binh Duong Among Top 7 Intelligent Communities Worldwide

The evaluation criteria to make the top 7 of the World Smart Community Organization ICF is based on the records of 21 Smart Communities that won the title of Smart 21 in February 2023. 7 communities with the best development strategies will be selected, and honored in the ICF 2023 Top 7 Honor Conference held in Durham Region, Canada, with the theme Better Together: Building a Strong Region from Diverse Communities.

ICF is a forum for more than 200 prosperous smart cities in the world. It conducted research and evaluated hundreds of cities around the world to select the Top 21 (Smart 21) of 2022 with a smart city development strategy based on six factors of ICF including broadband connectivity, knowledge workforce, innovation, digital equality, sustainability, and advocacy.

Binh Duong has implemented its Smart City project in 2016 and has always adhered to the concept of economic transformation toward innovation and digitalization.

A digital and innovation ecosystem is being strongly developed in Binh Duong, such as a smart operation center, EIU Campus with Becamex Business Incubator, Fablab, advanced manufacturing hub, and World Trade Centre, contributing to bringing a better life to the local community.

With the COVID-19 pandemic under control globally, ICF will assess the Top 7 communities by visiting and interviewing directly. This year's Top 1 World Smart Community will be announced in October 2023 in New York, USA.
