In the first round of support, 255 students with challenging circumstances received partial support for their study costs. All remaining students were provided with school supplies, and personal hygiene items, and in particular, female students received an additional set of personal hygiene products. The school is also equipped with computers, teaching equipment, cleaning supplies, and disinfectants, to ensure a safer and more hygienic learning environment.
In addition to providing material support, the project also focuses on psychological support activities for affected students, helping them stabilize their minds and adapt better after natural disasters. At the same time, ChildFund will improve the ability of teachers and schools to respond to natural disaster risks, better preparing for unexpected situations in the future.
Truong Van Huong, Deputy Head of the Education Department of Ha Quang District, said, “The project’s support has helped the disadvantaged students and reduced the burden on schools affected by Typhoon Yagi. We look forward to continued support from ChildFund Vietnam and sponsors.”
As planned, the project will be implemented in 6 schools in 3 districts including Nguyen Binh, Thach An, Ha Quang, and localities heavily affected by Storm Yagi.
