These conveyed their regard for cooperative relations and confidence in Vietnam’s development prospects in the coming period.

Vietnam-Sri Lanka Friendship Association Extends Congratulations on 78th Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s Independence Day

Accordingly, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary To Lam on his election by the National Assembly as State President. In his message, Thongloun Sisoulith affirmed that this vote of confidence reflects the high trust of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam in To Lam’s leadership, while expressing confidence that Vietnam will continue to achieve significant accomplishments in the time ahead. The Lao leader also emphasized the desire to continue working with Vietnam to further nurture the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, contributing to the maintenance of peace, stability, and sustainable development in the region and the world.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping also sent a congratulatory message, affirming that relations between the two countries constitute a “community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.” He expressed his regard for the development of Vietnam-China relations and his readiness to work with Vietnamese leaders to enhance strategic exchanges and promote comprehensive cooperation for the tangible benefit of both peoples.

In Cambodia, King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni and President of the Senate of Cambodia Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent congratulatory letters, highly appreciating To Lam’s leadership capacity and vision, while expressing confidence that bilateral relations will continue to be strengthened and elevated to new heights.

Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that To Lam’s election as President demonstrates his high political prestige, and expressed confidence that the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continue to be strengthened in the time ahead.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed confidence that the friendship between the two countries will continue to grow strongly, while also conveying his wish to further promote the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the benefit of both peoples.

Regarding Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone sent a congratulatory message affirming the trust of the Party, State, and people of Vietnam in his leadership and governance capacity, while expressing a desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet also sent congratulatory messages, highlighting the good neighborly relations and strategic cooperation between their countries and Vietnam, and expressing a desire to deepen and make cooperation more substantive.

For Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez sent a congratulatory message, expressing confidence that cooperation between the two legislatures will continue to be strengthened and developed.

Vice President of Laos Viengthong Siphandone also sent a congratulatory message to Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on her re-election by the National Assembly to the position.
