According to VNA, from 7 a.m., the election opening ceremonies were held simultaneously and solemnly at polling stations on the islands, ensuring full compliance with regulations. From early morning, many voters arrived at the polling stations to exercise their rights and civic duties, selecting representatives with the capacity and integrity to reflect the will and aspirations of the people.

Voter Le Thi Kim Thi on Sinh Ton Island said: “Ballots cast at the frontline of the waves not only select representatives of the people’s aspirations but also affirm sovereignty through the will of the people. Despite geographical distance, each ballot today serves as a bridge connecting the hearts of people in Truong Sa with citizens across the country.”

With favorable weather conditions, voters at the polling station on Da Tay Island also arrived early in a cheerful mood. Vu Dinh Dien, one of the first voters to cast his ballot, said he hoped that through his vote he would help select the most outstanding representatives to participate in elected bodies. He also expressed hope that those elected would promote wisdom and integrity, contribute to national development, and pay greater attention to the lives of soldiers and residents on the remote islands, contributing to the building and development of Truong Sa Special Administrative Zone.

At the polling station on Son Ca Island, election organization was carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations, ensuring safety and democracy.

Private Pham Duy Son Dat, who is on duty on the island, said: “Amid the vast sea and sky, we understand that each ballot is a civic right that contributes to building and safeguarding the sacred sovereignty of the homeland. We are proud to be young voters representing millions of youth across the country in fulfilling this noble duty at the nation’s frontline.”

By 10 a.m. on March 8, voting at the island polling stations was conducted safely and in accordance with regulations. Some polling stations had completed the voting process, while others continued receiving voters who were fishermen working at sea until 7 p.m., as stipulated.

Pham Thanh Liem, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Truong Sa Special Administrative Zone, said that after voting ends, ballot boxes will be counted and transferred to the mainland in accordance with regulations. As many voters are fishermen operating on fishing grounds, mobile polling teams have also been arranged to bring ballot boxes to guard posts and fishing vessels to ensure that all voters can exercise their voting rights.

In addition to the 20 polling stations conducting early voting, Truong Sa Special Administrative Zone will also have Polling Station No.14 at the Truong Sa Island hall and Polling Station No.01 at the hall of Brigade 146 conducting voting on the nationwide election day of March 15.
