VUFO Supports Initiatives to Enhance People-to-people Exchanges between Vietnam and the Philippines

At the meeting, Phan Anh Son congratulated the RoK on its successful election and expressed his belief that the country would continue to develop strongly under the leadership of President Lee Jae Myung.

Phan Anh Son highly appreciated the effective and close coordination between the Embassy of RoK to Vietnam and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, between RoK's non-governmental organizations and the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (a unit under the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations) and Vietnamese partners, between friendship associations and people's organizations of the two countries.

Ambassador of the RoK to Vietnam Choi Young Sam thanked the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and Vietnamese partners for supporting and accompanying RoK during the difficult period. Immediately after President Lee Jae Myung was elected, General Secretary To Lam and President Luong Cuong sent congratulatory messages.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam said that at the meeting with Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien on May 27, 2025, the Ambassador expressed his wish to continue promoting people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Korea and received the support of Chairman Do Van Chien. Ambassador Choi Young Sam expressed his hope that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and President Phan Anh Son will continue to pay attention and coordinate in the activities of the Embassy and Korean agencies and organizations in Vietnam.

The two sides agreed to continue exchanging information, coordinate effectively in promoting people-to-people exchanges, enhance mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, participate in high-level foreign affairs activities, and contribute to promoting bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, education, culture, sports, tourism.
