| During his lifetime, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always demonstrated the qualities of "diligence, thrift, integrity, righteousness, and impartiality", living closely with the people. As Vietnamese General Secretary, he often visited his old school. On November 14, 2020, he attended the 70th anniversary celebration of Nguyen Gia Thieu High School, where he studied from 1957 to 1963. There, he reviewed old photos with his former teacher, Le Duc Giang, and reminisced about his school years at Nguyen Gia Thieu. "At that time, in the evenings, Trong often came to study and do homework in my room because his lodging was dimly lit. On rainy nights, he stayed and slept there, making me feel less lonely. The teacher-student relationship thus grew stronger and lasts today," said teacher Le Duc Giang. (Photo: VNA) |
