Exhibition honours Russian painter Tuman Zhumabaev - a friend of Vietnam
An exhibition entitled “Vietnam - A Call of the Soul” is taking place in Hanoi from August 15 to honour renowned painter Tuman Zhumabaev, a friend of Vietnam who recently passed away.

| Tuman Zhumabaev was born in the village of Kyzyl-Tuu, Kirghiz SSR but moved to Russia’s St. Petersburg, back then known as Leningrad, and graduated from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1991. |
