Expanding Canon friendship school chain in Dien Bien Dong district

(VNF) - Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd (CVN), charity fund group Vemba5 and the Dien Bien Dong district Department of Education and Training on November 12th co-hosted the Pu Nhi pre-school handover commencement program in Pu Nhi commune.

Carrying out the mission of "Improving the learning environment of students - future owners of the country - to make progress in nurturing the human resources development for a strong and prosperous nation," Canon continued to develop its "Canon’s friendship school chain" in Dien Bien province throughout 2016.

Pu Nhi was the only pre-school in Dien Bien Dong district where all classrooms were temporary housing, including the main campus and five branches.

Classrooms were assembled from pieces of wood, covered by flimsy canvas hoping to shield block from the sun, wind and rain. School amenities and facilities were not only deficient, but also run down severely run down by inclement weather.

Understanding such challenges, CVN and charity fund group Vemba5 have supported the construction of four spacious classrooms, one auxiliary work to ensure hygiene, and donated many toys and 100 gift sets composed of learning tools and candy for students./.
