Five places in Hanoi forcing mask wearing to prevent COVID-19
On November 11, at the meeting on the prevention and control of COVID-19, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ngo Van Quy asked the functional forces to closely monitor mask wearing at public places, especially the aforementioned ones, VNExpress reported.
“Those who do not wear face masks are not allowed to enter these places. Besides, it is essential to set up mask-selling points at the entrance”, Quy stressed.
The leader also required the functional forces to continue popularizing the compulsory regulation on wearing face masks in crowded places, closely manage quarantine facilities, and people illegally entering the country.

Nguyen Khac Hien, Director of the Hanoi Department of Health said that through the initial inspection, the majority of people do not wear face masks in public places and there are also no reminders.
Tran Thi Nhi Ha, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Health said that on the Hanoi pedestrian streets, most people follow the instruction, however, they take them off when the functional forces are absent.

The leader of Gia Lam District People's Committee reported that in the local markets, there is only about 10% of inhabitants wearing masks.
According to Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Tran Thi Phuong Lan, November is the time when people flock to shopping malls. The Department requested markets, supermarkets, and shopping malls to check customers’ temperature body and remind them to wear face masks.
