Affirming the historical magnitude and enduring value of the 1975 Great Spring Victory
In their messages, foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam emphasized the special significance of April 30 as a symbol of the Vietnamese nation’s indomitable will, unity, and aspiration for independence and freedom.
The Embassy of Russia in Vietnam affirmed that April 30 is “a shining symbol of the steadfast will, patriotism, and aspiration for independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people,” stressing that it is not only a source of pride for the Vietnamese people but also a historical milestone respected and remembered by international friends.

The Embassy of China in Vietnam noted that the Liberation of the South and National Reunification is an important day for the Vietnamese people, symbolizing an unceasing struggle for independence and freedom, and marking a significant milestone in the nation’s history.
The Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam underscored that the victory of April 30, 1975, “was a great achievement in the cause of national liberation under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. This event has been, is, and will forever remain a golden chapter in Vietnam’s history, bearing epochal stature and profound international significance.”
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Vietnam Kohdayar Marri also remarked: “Reunification Day stands as a powerful symbol of the resilience, unity, and unwavering determination of the Vietnamese people, commemorating a pivotal moment in Vietnam’s history and reflecting the country’s important journey toward peace, stability, national reconciliation, and sustainable development.”
Recognizing development achievements and promoting friendship and cooperation
Many messages expressed admiration for Vietnam’s development achievements over the past decades.
In his congratulatory message, Ambassador Kohdayar Marri noted that Vietnam has made impressive progress in economic growth, modernization, social development, and international integration. According to him, these achievements are a testament to the diligence, vision, and perseverance of the Vietnamese people.
He affirmed that Pakistan highly values its longstanding friendship with Vietnam, built on mutual respect, shared aspirations, and constructive cooperation. Bilateral relations between the two countries continue to expand across various fields, including trade, education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. “We remain committed to further strengthening this relationship and exploring new avenues for cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations,” the Ambassador stated.
The Embassy of Cuba in Vietnam affirmed that Cuba will always stand side by side with Vietnam in its new era of development and wished the country continued success in achieving its development goals. The Embassy of Russia in Vietnam expressed confidence that Vietnam will continue to grow strongly, with a happy and united people, and that the traditional friendship between the two countries will become ever stronger. The Embassy of China conveyed its wish that the friendship between the two countries would remain “ever green and everlasting.”
The Embassy of Brazil in Hanoi also extended congratulations to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of National Reunification Day, emphasizing the significance of this historic milestone.
These congratulatory messages continue to affirm the solidarity, close bonds, and support of international friends for Vietnam, while expressing confidence in the country’s growing role, standing, and increasingly positive contributions to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
