The news was announced on H2H's fanpage today (April 28), after nearly one month the ride was kick started.
The riders, mostly foreign teachers based in Vietnam, took part in the 2,000-km-plus charitable cycling tour between Hanoi and HCMC, Vietnam’s two biggest cities on March 31.
The ride was started at Ly Thai To Park (Hanoi City) and finished at the Central Post Office in HCMC.
According to the Saigon Times, this year, all the proceeds from the event will be granted to five local charities, namely Saigon Children’s Charity, the ILA Community Network, Live and Give Foundation, Know One Teach One (KOTO), and the Blue Dragon Foundation.

Founded in 2009 by three ILA Vietnam teachers James Ortmann, Rob Wilson and Sophie Lewis, the H2H ride has to date raised US$283,000 to lend a helping hand to underprivileged children in the country and give them a chance to gain access to sufficient education.
Kate Grigg, the 2016 lead rider, says it would be an amazing challenge and a chance for participating riders to bring a better life to Vietnam’s most vulnerable and underprivileged children through cycling.
The volunteers have found their lives enriched in Vietnam, so they want to give something back to the community.
This year, the H2H Ride team targets to raise US$ 40,000 and has so far received over US$ 38,000.
According to the organizing board, fundraising of H2H Ride 2018 is still open until the end of May, and the total amount of donated cash will be announced in June.
