Foreign Parliamentary Leaders Congratulate Chairman of Vietnam’s 16th National Assembly

President of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Saysomphone Phomvihane expressed his delight at Tran Thanh Man’s election as Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, affirming that his re-election reflects the trust and high regard of the Party, the State, and the people of Vietnam.
Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane expressed confidence that, with his competence and extensive experience, Chairman Tran Thanh Man will lead the Vietnamese National Assembly to effectively fulfill its functions, duties, and powers as the legislative body, thereby making significant contributions to building and developing an increasingly strong Vietnam, while enhancing the country’s prestige and standing in the region and the world.
He also expressed his desire to continue close cooperation with Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the National Assembly of Vietnam to consolidate and further promote the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic bond between the two Parties, the two States, and the peoples of Laos and Vietnam. At the same time, he emphasized his expectation that relations between the two National Assemblies will continue to deepen and yield fruitful results.
Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, Zhao Leji, congratulated Tran Thanh Man on his election as Chairman of the National Assembly. He underscored that China and Vietnam are friendly socialist neighbors, connected by mountains and rivers. He noted that in recent years, bilateral relations have continued to deepen, particularly the increasingly close cooperation and exchanges between the National People’s Congress of China and the National Assembly of Vietnam.
Chairman Zhao Leji affirmed his readiness to work with Chairman Tran Thanh Man to implement the strategic common understandings reached by the senior leaders of the two Parties and countries; to strengthen cooperation between the two legislative bodies; to contribute to building socialist rule-of-law systems in each country; and to promote the building of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future of strategic significance.
President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia Khuon Sudary congratulated Chairman Tran Thanh Man on his re-election as Chairman of the 16th National Assembly. She expressed confidence that, under his excellent leadership, the Vietnamese National Assembly will achieve many new accomplishments, laying a solid foundation for Vietnam’s goal of becoming a high-income country by 2045.
President Khuon Sudary also expressed her wish to continue close cooperation with Chairman Tran Thanh Man to further nurture the good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term sustainability between the two countries, promoting people-centered cooperation for the common benefit of both nations and their peoples.
