During the meetings, both sides discussed the current state of youth affairs and the activities of youth and student organizations in Vietnam, expressing a shared desire to promote exchanges, coordination, and training between Vietnamese and RoK youth.
Both parties expressed their delight at the successful cooperation in building and launching, for the first time, the Advanced Agricultural Training and Vietnam-RoK Rural Youth Exchange Program 2025 in the RoK.
Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and President of the Vietnam National Union of Students, proposed that through this training program and field visits, both sides could consider signing a cooperation agreement that would focus on the target group of young farmers, as well as explore other potential areas of collaboration such as finance and credit.
To help the delegation gain a clearer understanding of the main components of the program, Director General of the Vietnam-RoK Youth Generation Exchange Center Kim Dong-hwan, along with representatives from several Nonghyup departments, conducted an orientation session. This session introduced the program and provided general information about Nonghyup. With these initial directions and insights, the Vietnamese rural youth delegates showed particular interest in advanced agricultural technologies and the in-depth import-export processes of agricultural products.
As part of the study tour, the delegation visited and received a briefing at the Nonghyup Agricultural Museum, gaining a clearer perspective on the developmental trajectory and foundational nature of RoK agriculture. The group also toured Gyeongbokgung Palace to learn about its historical origins, unique architecture, and its cultural and spiritual significance in the lives of the RoK's people.
