France Installs Muong Thanh Bridge Lighting System To Celebrate Dien Bien Phu Victory

The lighting system was designed based on the special structure of the bridge. The outer layer of the unlit squares on the bridge will create a black highlight, the inner layer mixed with white and blue will create a purple effect. This special color scheme will create interesting effects for visitors, whether looking at the whole or each small segment of the bridge.

The lighting system of Muong Thanh bridge is extremely important, it is a testament to the spirit of reconciliation "putting aside the past, looking forward to a better future" for cooperation and friendly development of the two countries, Ms. Patricia Mirallès said at the handover ceremony.

Chairman of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Dien Bien Province Nguyen Minh Phu said: The lighting system of Muong Thanh Province is a meaningful construction, especially when it was handed over on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory. The Department sincerely thanked the French Ambassador and the French Development Agency in Vietnam for sending specialists in Lyon city to Vietnam to help deploy the design and construction of the lighting system.

This site will add to the popular tourist destinations of the province. The operation of the lighting system of the bridge will create even more opportunities for France and Vietnam to have more joint activities, cooperate in the spirit of respect, and to look forward to a better future.

Phu offered AFD to follow, assist in assuring the operation and sustainability of the lighting system. The people's committee of Dien Bien Phu city, Muong Thanh Ward, and Thanh Truong Ward are stepping up communication, mobilizing people to join hands in effectively protecting, using the bridge.
