Free surgeries for children with cleft lip, palate in Ninh Binh
As many as 112 children with harelip and cleft palate in the northern province of Ninh Binh have received free check-ups screenings and surgeries, thanks to the support of Japanese experts.

The programme was held by the provincial General Hospital and a surgical delegation of Japan on March 1.
Doctor Pham Van Hien, head of the Odonto-Stomatology Faculty of the Ninh Binh General Hospital said children with harelip and cleft palate should receive surgeries as soon as possible, which help to improve their health and confidence.
After screenings, 40 children will receive free surgeries from now to March 9. The programme also supports travelling and accommodation fees for the patients during their treatment.
