Frenchman Wins A Prize for "Following the Footsteps of Ho Chi Minh" Painting

On June 18, in Paris (France), Vietnamese Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang awarded George Exco the Prize A for his painting "Following the Footsteps of Ho Chi Minh".
George Esco’s "Following the Footsteps of Ho Chi Minh" uses oil paint material with a size of 142 cm x 120 cm. The idea of the painting comes from his deep admiration for President Ho Chi Minh, who is the great leader of Vietnam who has motivated the working class and oppressed peoples in the world to fight for national liberation.
The painting shows the image of President Ho Chi Minh with a bright, calm and consistent demeanor. The artist studied a lot of historical documents and documentary photographs about him to be able to depict the most prominent portrait.

From his studying, George Esco learned that President Ho Chi Minh not only devoted his life to the cause of national liberation, but he also made great contributions to inspiring the people of the world, especially revolutionary soldiers and peace-loving people.
"Those are the eyes of a prominent revolutionary soldier, full of aspirations to liberate the country - He read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, opening the era of independence and freedom for the Vietnamese people," painter George Esco said.

Ho Chi Minh's wisdom, ethics and model with cross-border values, so that the Romanian-French artist can empathize and authentically convey his spirit.
George Esco (real name Ionita-Radu Georgescu), born March 11, 1977, is a French painter of Romanian descent born in the historical land of Transylvania, central Romania. Influenced by the style of abstract expressionism but still retaining spontaneous strokes from the very subconscious, he is among some of the most talented artists of French contemporary art scene.
The award for composing and promoting literature, art and journalism on the theme "Learning and following Ho Chi Minh's wisdom, ethics and model” phase II, in the period of 2021-2025, has the participation of many foreign research experts and artists. It helps process of creating art associated with the heritage values of President Ho Chi Minh. The Prize winner George Geo contributes to promoting the international message about the process of learning from the Vietnamese leader among both Vietnamese and international friends.
"Following in Ho Chi Minh's Footsteps" is not only a contemporary painting, but also historical, political and social, with personal inspiration. The portrait is currently on display at the Etienne de Causans gallery, in the heart of the 6th arrondissement (Paris).
