GNI Provides Relief Aid to 480 Families Affected by Typhoon Yagi in Tuyen Quang Province

The 171st handover ceremony of the remains of US service members missing in action (MIA) in Vietnam was recently held at Gia Lam Airport in Hanoi.

Plan International Vietnam, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Da Nang municipal government, has launched the first round of distributions under an emergency aid package worth VND 1.848 billion to support residents affected by Typhoons Fengshen and Kalmaegi.

From women whose lives were once closely tied to forests and indigenous knowledge passed down within their families, figures such as Hoang Thi Hang in Thai Nguyen and Nguyen Thi Quyen in Quang Tri have emerged as “agents of change” in their communities. The catalyst for this transformation has been the support of the “Fair for All” project, implemented by Oxfam in partnership with Vietnamese organizations and funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the evening of December 12 in Hanoi, the Central Steering Committee for External Information, together with the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, in coordination with Vietnam Television and relevant ministries, sectors and agencies, held the 11th National Awards for External Information. The Organizing Committee selected and presented 8 First Prizes, 16 Second Prizes, 24 Third Prizes, and 40 Consolation Prizes from nearly 2,500 entries and products submitted to the awards.
